Report: Tottenham have now offered manager role to 50-year-old Liverpool have sacked before

Tottenham have reportedly offered the manager role to former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, with the north London club missing out on Arne Slot this week.

FootballTransfers claim that the Northern Irish coach has been approached by Daniel Levy to take over at Tottenham, though Rodgers still doesn't remain Spurs' first-choice option with Graham Potter and Luis Enrique also on their managerial shortlist.

Rodgers was sacked by Leicester City earlier this season having doomed the Foxes to potential relegation despite an incredible few years prior to this campaign, with the former Liverpool man almost guiding the King Power Stadium side to the UEFA Champions League and winning them the FA Cup.

Whilst Rodgers time at Leicester came to a nightmare end should the Foxes go down this weekend, the former Liverpool boss could be an ideal fit for Tottenham, and the Reds could soon have to encounter the Northern Irish manager once again in the Premier League.

As a result, Liverpool could have to be wary of what Rodgers does at Tottenham, with the north London side potentially in the mix for top-four next season if the former Foxes man decides to make an immediate return to the Premier League with Spurs.
