Luton Town boss Rob Edwards has said it is 'too early' to decide what to do with Lincoln City loanee Joe Taylor ahead of next season. Lincoln City landed the attacker in the January transfer window and he has been in great form for the League One side.

Taylor, 21, has scored nine goals in 17 games for the Imps under Michael Skubala and is due to return to his parent club this summer.

Edwards has shared this update on his situation at Kenilworth Road, as per a report by Luton Today: "We'll see what the right thing is for Joe going forward. He'd done well in League Two, ticked that off, doing well in League One as well, so we'll have to see what the next thing is for him.

"It's too early at the moment, we've got a lot of decisions to make between now and the summer, but of course he's in our thinking for next season as well."

Taylor has been a great addition for Lincoln and has helped in their push for the play-offs.

At the moment, the Hatters' focus is on surviving in the Premier League and they are currently sat in the drop zone with Burnley and Sheffield United.

Taylor has been on the books of the Bedfordshire outfit since 2023. Prior to his move there, he spent time at Norwich City, King's Lynn Town and Peterborough United as a youngster.

He has played six times for the Hatters' first-team so far and was given the green light to leave on loan last summer when Colchester United came calling to get some experience under his belt.
