Andros Townsend has lauded James Ward-Prowse's set-pieces, with the West Ham star once again proving to be the master of the craft this season.

Speaking on The Monday Night Club, the Luton Town winger was full of praise for the England international, who claimed two assists on the weekend from two corners for West Ham.

Since signing for the Irons this summer in a PS30m deal, Ward-Prowse has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and the undisputed king of set-pieces.

The forward said: "Honestly. I'm someone who loves to practice set pieces but this guy seems to get it on the money every time. I don't know how it's possible. It's incredible.

"It's a very unique skill which I've probably never seen before. Even Beckham and Roberto Carlos, these very well-known set-piece takers, would miscue one every now and then whereas Ward-Prowse seems to be incredible every single time."

Just one goal off David Beckham's Premier League free-kick record, it feels like a matter of time before Ward-Prowse has etched his named into the English football history books.

The midfielder has been a revelation for West Ham since joining this summer, and there's now every chance that Ward-Prowse can become a cult hero in the Premier League for his set-pieces.

Indeed, the skill is a hard one to master, yet Ward-Prowse has done that and then some in his incredible career, and the midfielder will want to create history in east London with the Irons.
