"Looks completely out of sorts": Pundit thinks £63m Man City player is having a bad impact on his teammate

Jamie O'Hara has now claimed that Rodri may be having a negative impact on Kalvin Phillips at Manchester City.

The 37-year-old made the comments when speaking on talkSPORT.

So, what was said about Kalvin Phillips and Rodri at Manchester City? Let's take a look...

What Jamie O'Hara said about Kalvin Phillips and Rodri Well, the talkSPORT pundit believes the England international "looks completely out of sorts" when he does get onto the pitch, as he knows he has no chance of shoving the PS62.8m Spain international down the pecking order.

O'Hara said: "I think he deserves a chance again. It's been harsh at Manchester City. He was really good at Leeds and they spent a few quid on him. Now he looks completely out of sorts when he plays because he knows he will never get in the side ahead of Rodri. Now they even play John Stones and Rico Lewis ahead of him."

It must be tough mentally for Phillips - although football is a squad game, and pressure to compete for places will always be there, at any club.

Pep Guardiola overlooked the Manchester City No.4 once again in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Everton.

Phillips has therefore failed to feature in the Premier League since the 6-1 win over Bournemouth back at the start of November, where he was afforded 19 minutes of action from the bench.

Manchester City just waiting to sell or loan Kalvin Phillips By the looks of it, Manchester City are simply waiting for the January transfer window to open so Phillips can be offloaded.

It has already been revealed by Sky Sports that Txiki Begiristain plans to find a young, homegrown option to replace the Yorkshireman - who has apparently given the green light to a move to Juventus.

Be sure to keep an eye on the situation involving Phillips when January comes around, as we would be very surprised if the 28-year-old stays at the Etihad Stadium.
