Manchester City made significant progress over a deal for Claudio Echeverri on Wednesday - and there has now been an update on Finlay Gorman too.

The 15-year-old has posted a farewell message to Leeds United ahead of his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Now - as the January transfer window looms - Gorman has bid farewell to Leeds United on Instagram.

The England U15 international wrote: "Just want to give a big thank you to @leedsunited for developing me and giving me the best support to make me the player I am today, something I will always be grateful for. I wish the best for everyone involved in the club and my teammates after the seven years I have been there."
