John Terry believes Frank Lampard was a better midfielder than Kevin De Bruyne
Terry also ranked Vincent Kompany below Virgil van Dijk among the greatest Premier League centrebacks
The debate about where De Bruyne ranks amongst the best in English football has emerged
Former Chelsea legend, John Terry, recently expressed his belief that his former teammate Frank Lampard was a superior midfielder to Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne. In a video with GOAL (via Twitter), Terry compared Lampard to several iconic midfielders and picked him over the likes of Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Mesut Ozil, Patrick Vieira, N'Golo Kante, Michael Essien and Yaya Toure.
Terry also ranked Vincent Kompany below Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk among the greatest centrebacks in Premier League history. He favored Van Dijk over Kompany despite both players having had an incredible impact on their respective teams.
The debate about where De Bruyne ranks amongst the best of English football has been ongoing due to his remarkable performance at Manchester City. However, according to Terry's perspective as someone who dominated English football alongside Lampard at Chelsea for many years; he favors Lampard over De Bruyne.
Despite this opinion from John Terry though our view is different stating that Belgian playmaker is on another level when compared to England player.
Even if it might be true that Frank lampad scored more goals but kevin de bruyne comes out ahead when we consider allround skills like passing ,creating chances ,dribbling ability and even defensively workrate .
