There has been a lot of talk about who's been the best player for Manchester City so far this season, and many would likely say Julian Alvarez.
The Argentine has been a total breath of fresh air in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, playing as an advanced midfielder.
You've then got Rodri, who has been magnificent bar that one moment of madness against Nottingham Forest.
His red card proved very costly for City, who lost of three games the Spaniard was suspended for.
MORE MAN CITY STORIESThose two players are probably City's top two performers up to now.
But there is another player who is not far off them, who deserves serious credit for his start.
.
.
Josko Gvardiol has quietly been amazing for Manchester City since PS77 million transfer Josko Gvardiol signed for City after the club had chased him for months.
He finally signed from RB Leipzig, for a reported PS77 million.
But the pressure was on for Gvardiol to deliver.
And the 'powerful' Croatian has done just that.
He's made nine appearances in total so far and simply put, Gvardiol has performed extremely solidly.
He hasn't been talked about all that much, in all honestly.
But if anything, that just goes to show how seamlessly he has slotted in.
He's had some very impressive outings in sky blue so far, and looks extremely at home operating on the left side of City's defence.
And Pep Guardiola is clearly liking what the 21-year-old is bringing to the table.
We know that Gvardiol is already fairly accomplished.
Kyle Walker has already said that the world is Gvardiol's oyster.
It cannot be denied that his start to life in English football has been very assured.
And e deserves a lot of credit for coming to City at the age of just 21, for a fee of PS77 million and signing a PS130,000-a-week, and giving the impression he has been at the club for years.
Without doubt, Pep has struck gold with Gvardiol.
To be looking this comfortable so early in his City career.

it's so exciting to consider the kind of player he will be only a couple of years from now.
