Source:Hammers

West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta reportedly has his heart set on a big move to Manchester City.

According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition October 15th, page 75), Lucas Paqueta is dreaming of leaving West Ham to join Premier League champions Manchester City next summer.

The Hammers star allegedly has an PS85 million release clause that will become active in 2024.

The Brazilian had apparently agreed to join Man City in the summer, before it emerged that he was under investigation for breaches of betting rules.

Paqueta hasn't allowed a failed move to Manchester City disrupt his season with West Ham though.

He has been absolutely brilliant for us.

However, the bad news is that it might nto be too long before he's on his way.

MORE WEST HAM STORIESHammer blow for David Moyes as report claims Lucas Paqueta is dreaming of leaving West Ham According to the Sun, the former Lyon star has his heart set on leaving the London Stadium in order to link up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

The attacking midfielder is definitely good enough to play for Pep's side - he has been a standout player in the Premier League so far this season.

Paqueta is technically brilliant, has unbelievable flair and often showcases his tremendous skill.

However, he's far from a show-pony and never shirks his defensive responsibilities.

Lucas Paqueta is the player who makes West Ham tick and along with Jarrod Bowen, he has taken on the role as the club's talisman after Declan Rice left to join Arsenal in the summer.

Losing the 26-year-old to Manchester City would be be a bitter pill to swallow for the Hammers.

However, the good news is that he won't be going anywhere for less than PS85 million, so if we are forced into selling him at least we'll make a huge profit on the deal.
