Just as we all expected, Erling Haaland has been a huge success at Manchester City since his move from Borussia Dortmund, but Michael Owen is seemingly surprised.

The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker has said that when Manchester City signed Erling Haaland, he questioned whether the young striker would be able to bang in the goals for fun.

The pundit has admitted that he was wrong.

Owen said about Haaland on Rio Ferdinand's YouTube channel: "He is almost unplayable, especially in that team as well.

"I watched Dortmund a lot, and I had seen him, and his stereotypical goal was ball over the top, brute force, powerful finisher as well.

"And I thought, 'Everybody that plays against Manchester City sits back on the edge of their box.

There is no way Haaland will score one goal like that.

He is going to have to really adapt his game'.

"And he has adapted.

He is just amazing.

"Erling Haaland is world class Unlike Michael Owen, I was never in doubt about Erling Haaland.

And, I am sure that not a single Manchester City fan wondered if the striker would be a success in England.

The striker is a brilliant player and is very clinical.

He is as complete a number 9 as you can get.

Haaland scored as many as 52 goals in all competitions last season.

The Norway international striker was a big reason why Manchester City won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season.

I believe that Haaland will end up as the top scorer in the Premier League this season as well.
