Kalvin Phillips appeared to suggest he could leave Manchester City in search of regular minutes, after England's win over Italy last night.
The 27-year-old was handed a start by Gareth Southgate at Wembley.
England ran out 3-1 winners, sealing their place in next summer's finals in Germany.
After going 1-0 down to a strike from Gianluca Scamacca, Harry Kane scored a penalty, with Marcus Rashford adding a second, before Kane scored a third for the Three Lions.
It's job done for England, and Southgate can now use the remaining games to perhaps take a look at other players.
But one man he continues to admire is Phillips, despite not playing for his club.

Southgate has recently suggested it would be better if players were playing regularly for their clubs - and Phillips seemingly suggested about making that happen after the game...
Kalvin Phillips makes some interesting remarks after England beat Italy During the game, Phillips picked up a booking for a poor challenge.
Phillips has suggested that he may well look to leave in January.
He said (via Telegraph): "I kicked myself when I made that challenge, I knew it was going to be a yellow card.
"It is probably a lack of minutes at club level. Maybe I was lucky not to get sent off and I want to be playing as much as possible but I haven't done that for a year and a half.
"I always try to make sure I am ready for whatever comes. I want minutes, I want to go to the Euros. We will see what happens."
We know that the PS150,000-a-week star wants to be playing regular as he has suggested as much a couple of times already.
But it's interesting to hear him blame his yellow card on a lack of minutes.
His stance about trying to fight for his place at the club has been admirable.
But he needs to leave for his career, and it sounds like he may be coming round to the idea.
