Manchester City are interested in acquiring the services of 20-year-old Bayern Munich sensation Jamal Musiala amidst interest from Liverpool. According to a report by Football Insider, Manchester City are interested in the services of Jamal Musiala. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is amongst the best young talents in world football and he is on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe because of his contract situation at Bayern Munich.

Musiala was a part of the Chelsea youth academy before making a move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019. He started off at their Under-17 setup and made it to their first team in a year's time. He has gone from strength to strength since and has featured in over 130 matches for the German giants.

The 20-year-old has a contract with the club until the summer of 2026 but he could be on the move in the near future. With his contract expiring in a few year's time, there is a lot of interest in his services. Quite a few clubs are keeping a close eye on his contract situation.

Bayern would be keen to extend his stay. But, it seems the player and his representatives have different ideas. They could push for a move in the near future and one of the main reasons for it will be the fact that he is not a regular starter under Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel prefers Thomas Muller in the starting XI. Musiala might have featured in nine games and contributed towards four goals but he is not with the situation. The 20-year-old who is on a reported wage of PS83,000-a-week is now considering a potential return to England.

Liverpool are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on him. They would love to add him to their ranks given the huge potential that he has. With Mohamed Salah linked with a move away from the club, Musiala could be the next marquee signing for the team.

But, the Merseyside clubs are not alone in the race for his signatures. They are all set to face competition from Manchester City. The Manchester-based club are exploring a potential deal for Musiala. They are well aware of the situation and will love to cash in on it.

They were in the market for an attacking midfielder in the summer and are still interested in signing one despite the arrival of Matheus Nunes. With Kevin De Bruyne already 32 and struggling with injuries, Musiala could be a great addition for the short as well as long term.
