‘So good’: John Stones raves about £60m player who Arsenal are reportedly set to bid for
Source:Football News,

Arsenal are likely to have a keen eye on Euro 2024 as they prepare for yet another busy summer transfer window.

A host of players currently on Arsenal's radar are at the tournament, including the likes of Athletic's Nico Williams and PSG starlet Xavi Simons.

Williams in particularly has enjoyed an excellent start to the tournament in Germany, with Spain winning both of their opening games.

Elsewhere, England haven't exactly been convincing in their games against Serbia and Denmark, with Gareth Southgate's men picking up just one win and scoring two goals.

However, the Three Lions have been solid defensively and a player who is of interest to Arsenal has caught the eye.

Reports have already stated that Arsenal are planning a bid to sign the Crystal Palace star as they search for added defensive depth.

Guehi has impressed after replacing the injured Harry Maguire in Southgate's side and slotted in seamlessly alongside John Stones.

And it's fair to say that Stones himself has been impressed with his new defensive partner.

"So good," the Manchester City star said of Guehi while talking to BBC Radio 5 Live. "For him to come in, not have felt the feelings around tournament football before or these kind of games, all kinds of different emotions that come with it that you've never experienced before. He's handled [it] so well, his performances.

"I said to him when we're in this, or whoever's playing or whoever I'm playing with, I'm your right arm, you are my left. We do this together. I've got your back and he's bought into that so well.

"I believe massively in partnerships that you do it all together and I feel that he's handled the occasion so well and I really enjoy playing with him."

But Guehi hasn't put a foot wrong in the opening two games and certainly hasn't been found wanting at the highest level as of yet.

Of course, sterner tests lie ahead for the Palace star but it's easy to see why plenty of top sides are keen on signing the PS60m-rated defender.

His statistics [via Sofascore] at the tournament are also impressive and it will be intriguing to see if Arsenal step up their long-standing interest this summer.
