As Spain prepares for it's final group stage match against Albania on Monday, 24 June,Manchester City star Rodri will be missing out, after he received a yellow card during their match against Italy. The 27-year-old midfielder was also booked during Spain's 3-0 victory against Croatia.

But away from the pitch and the highly-anticipated Euros 2024, Rodri keeps his private life away from the spotlight. However, we do know that Rodri is in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Laura, who, like the football star, also doesn't have social media. According to reports, the pair met at university in Spain where Rodri studied a degree in Management and Business administration while Laura studied medicine as she trained to become a surgeon.

"For me it is important, in the world we live in, to keep our feet on the ground. I have always been very normal, it's my way of being and this is the life I want to lead." Just like her footballing legend boyfriend, Laura also prefers to stay out of the limelight which is unlike many WAGS on social media who rack up thousands of followers.

While little is known about Rodri and Laura's relationship, the pair shared a sneak peek inside their romance during an interview withMan City's in-house medialast year. The pair revealed how Laura, despite her career, was squeamish and reacted with horror when Rodri cut his finger in the kitchen on one occasion.

During the interview, Rodri also revealed a glimpse inside their first meeting: "It was funny because I met her [girlfriend, Laura] in student residence and she was starting medicine. She was like, 'What is this guy doing here?' I met her when I was in the U21 side of Villarreal, it was kind of like this when I started moving forward in pro football."
