Man City transfer latest: Talks over Spanish international revealed amid Everton ‘interest’ in…
Source:Latest News

While it's been a quiet start to Manchester City's transfer window, there are still plenty of reports surrounding the Premier League champions.

It's expected that any real business will be stepped up when the Euros have concluded, while City have made a habit of announcing deals late in August over recent years. That a transfer for Lucas Paqueta is now off the table and Bruno Guimarares' asking price is higher than City's valuation, have also held up any chance of early business being concluded.

But with July on the horizon, and the knockout stages of the Euros nearly upon us, transfer news will only continue to dominate more of the news cycle. With that in mind, here are the latest reports and rumours from Tuesday.

Spanish international on Man City radarThe Athletic claim City spoke to RB Leipzig about the possibility of signing Dani Olmo, but add it 'was not considered a particularly urgent discussion'. The same outlet also stated Joshua Kimmich is a transfer target, with the player having just a year left to run on his contract at Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, no decision has been made on where Savio will end up at the end of the summer, The Athletic add. The Brazilian is expected to sign for City from sister side Troyes, but he will be assessed before the club determine whether he will be loaned out or remain part of Pep Guardiola's squad.

Everton want Man City defenderEverton are reportedly keen on Issa Kabore, who spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Luton Town. The defender is a City player but has spent the last four seasons on short-term deals elsewhere.

Football Transfers claim Everton have identified Kabore as a possible signing after moving on from Newcastle United's Yankuba Minteh. The Toffees are well-stocked in the full-back areas with Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman signing news deals this summer, in addition to Nathan Patterson and Vitaliy Mykolenko who are options for Sean Dyche.

Phillips plansKalvin Phillips will return to City early this summer in a bid to recover his City career. The midfielder spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at West Ham United, a switch that was blighted by injury and poor form.

The Hammers are unsurprisingly not planning to make the move permanent and it appears that Phillips has not given on forcing his way back into the City squad. According to the Sun, Phillips has indicated to the club that he plans to get back weeks before Guardiola and his coaching staff return for pre-season, in an effort to work on his fitness and sharpness.

The Sun also claim another loan move looks most likely for Phillips this summer, two years on from his disastrous PS45m transfer from Leeds United.
