The Manchester City goalkeeper could be set to leave this summer after seven years at the Etihad.

Speculation continues to surround the future of Ederson.

The Manchester City goalkeeper is subject of transfer interest from Saudi Arabia on the back of a disappointing campaign for the Brazilian. Ederson's form dipped in 2023/24, with the 30-year-old suffering four separate injuries in the second half of the campaign.

He sustained a broken eye socket in the penultimate Premier League match of the season at Tottenham Hotspur, with his replacement Stefan Ortega making a potentially title-deciding save to deny Heung-min Son. Ederson posted a cryptic social media post after the game claiming: "No one understands , but me. see you soon."

Pep Guardiola went out of his way to praise the injured goalkeeper ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester United, days after reports of a possible summer exit emerged. Fabrizio Romano claimed on 21 May that Ederson was considering a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Italian social media figure has since reported this week that the player has been in talks with Saudi Pro League clubs, adding that City are willing to let him leave but they are yet to receive an opening offer.

Romano also states that if Ederson departs, Ortega will take his place as first-choice goalkeeper after he signed an extension earlier this summer. City have also been linked with a move for French international Mike Maignan.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT have claimed Al Nassr are the club interested in Ederson, with City expected to request an offer in excess of PS30m for their no.1.

Ederson has spent seven seasons at the Etihad, winning six Premier League titles in that time and the Champions League in 2023. Should he complete a move to Saudi Arabia, the former Benfica man would follow ex-City team-mates Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez who moved to the Gulf state last summer.
