'In five, six years': Rico Lewis says Phil Foden has told him about something 'amazing' in Man City's future

Rico Lewis has revealed what Phil Foden has discussed with him about Manchester City in five to six years' time.

Foden, 24, is a senior player when compared to Lewis, 19, who will turn 20 in November this year.

What both players share in common is that they are Manchester City academy graduates.

Foden and Lewis represent City's present and future as a club.

The pair are at the level to be in the Sky Blues' first-team and if they remain dedicated, they are guaranteed to only get better and better with time.

Lewis has now disclosed that Foden has discussed with him how incredible it would be when both of them become senior players in the Manchester City dressing room in a few years.

As quoted by Manchester Evening News' Joe Bray, the youngster said: "Phil [Foden] was saying how amazing it'll be in five, six years when we're all the older ones in the group. Oscar [Bobb] as well. And then the players who come in as well. It's exciting to look forward to but we don't want to be that old yet!"

Unlike most young players, the English pair have been accustomed to winning trophies and playing in big games from an early age.

As a result, Foden and Lewis will have the wisdom to impart onto future young prospects on how to stand out in training, training methods as well as their approach on the pitch.

Having worked with Pep Guardiola and club legends like Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Rodri, the pair will also become natural leaders of the dressing room by the time to command the respect from their other teammates.
