'There was no question': Oscar Bobb says £225,000-a-week player was always going to be amazing for Man City
Source:Manchester City

Oscar Bobb has claimed that in his view, one player was always going to make it to the top in a Manchester City shirt.

Bobb himself has managed to succeed at City, despite the plethora of attacking talent at the club's disposal.

The 21-year-old perhaps would have been expected to be sent out on loan to develop elsewhere.

But it seems like Pep Guardiola has felt from day one that he is ready for the senior team.

At this point, Bobb is an established first-team player and with how talented he is, it would not emerge as a surprise if he became one of the Sky Blues' most important figures down the line.

The Norwegian international, much like Phil Foden is the kind of player who Manchester City have been producing in recent years - technically gifted, left-footed, intelligent and versatile.

However, Bobb feels that Foden is a talent who always seemed destined to become a top player at Manchester City.

As quoted by Manchester Evening News: "I think playing for this manager has always been a dream."

"If I have to wait a bit longer to get more playing time, I don't mind."

"With Phil's [Foden] talent, there was no question he was going to break through. It took some time, people said he should go and get playing time. He waited and it paid off."

"There has been times I thought it would be hard but as soon as I got the smallest opportunity, there are no other options."

Oscar Bobb must be inspired by Phil Foden Considering Bobb has admitted that he is willing to bide his time at Manchester City, it seems like he has been inspired by Foden.

The PS225,000-a-week man famously decided to wait for his opportunity to become a starter at his boyhood club despite several fans and pundits suggesting it would be far better for him to leave the club on loan.

Bobb, much like Foden has always had the talent to achieve big things at City and the more he learns from Pep Guardiola, the better equipped he will be to become a regular starter at the club.

Often, young players are raring to play as much football as possible.

But the Oslo-born midfielder seems to be cut from a different cloth and considering how much Foden has grown over the years, he has every reason to be inspired by his journey and follow in his footsteps.
