Manchester City are currently in the early stages of their preseason tour of America ahead of the 2024/24 season.

Despite becoming the first team to win four Premier League trophies in a row, Pep Guardiola's side were unable to regain the FA Cup or Champions League last term.

In their current preseason period, the Blues will be taking on Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea before their Community Shield clash against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium next month.

Ahead of these fixtures on American soil, one pundit and former City player has shared some praise for one of the current figures in the squad.

He said: "He's obviously a very mature young boy. I know what's liked about him within the club is his versatility.

"He's not just your natural wide player, he likes to come into little pockets in that 10 position and causes teams a lot of problems. Technically, he's fantastic and he's done well.

"He's another example of impressing in preseason because he went away to Asia last year and did really, really well. He's obviously put a little thing in Pep's head there.

"Pep put him on in some big games, changing games at the same time as well. Big season for him but it's something he can handle."

Bobb must do all he can to earn a place in the City team this season In his debut season as a senior figure in Guardiola's squad, Bobb appeared in 26 games across all competitions, starting seven of them, scoring two goals and supplying two assists along the way.

With Phil Foden saying back in May that he thinks the Norwegian has the talent to become an "unbelievable" player in the future, this backs up what Dickov said about knowing how appreciated the 21-year-old is within the club.

Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Bobb will have to make sure he does all he can on the pitch and training field if he wants to get a regular place in the starting XI this time around.
