Peter Crouch has shared his prediction for Manchester City's upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The two sides are set to face off against each other for the first time in the league this weekend as Pep Guardiola's side travel to Old Trafford for Sunday's showdown.

Looking ahead to the game, one pundit and former Premier League player has had his say on how he feels the match will go for both sides.

He said: "I've gone for 3-1 to City.

I think United will score at home but I think City will be too strong for them.

Defensively, I think they're giving up chances, United, and I think City will gobble them up.

" MORE MAN CITY STORIESWith both sides having played nine league games, City have won seven and lost two, scoring 19 goals and conceding seven.

In comparison, the Red Devils have won five of their nine games and lost four, scoring 11 goals and conceding 13.

Even though United have had more shots at goal than City (143 vs 139), the Citizens have had more shots on target (55 vs 42).

Then from a defensive point of view, City have had fewer key passes played against them (47) than any other side in the division, compared to the 98 key passes that United have had played against them.

With all of that in mind, it's easy to see why Crouch thinks the treble winners could be set to pick up another three points this weekend, although may find it hard to keep a clean sheet.

Moving forward, regardless of the overall result, it will undoubtedly be Guardiola's main objective to make sure he gets his side to win another game and push them further towards regaining their Premier League title.
