Manchester City supporters were able to feast their eyes on Oscar Bobb and Savinho as a wing pairing during their side's latest victory against Manchester United in the FA Community Shield on penalties.

Manchester United's full-backs must have already been on edge due to having to defend against the pairing of Bobb and Jeremy Doku out wide before Pep Guardiola decided to unleash the Brazilian off the bench.

The newfound pair managed to link up with each other to create Bernardo Silva's equalising goal against United; a potential glimpse into what could be a dangerous partnership during the upcoming season.

In Savinho and Bobb, Manchester City certainly have a pair of wingers who can turn a game on its head at the flip of a coin.

With the Norwegian also being fluent in Portuguese, they could find it easy to communicate with each other and be on the same wavelength when started in tandem for City.

What Bobb commented on Savinho's Instagram post after Man City beat Man United Savinho has admitted his favourite position is at right-wing; a role where Bobb has been deployed by Pep Guardiola since pre-season.

As a result, they could compete for a starting spot on the right flank next season if either Doku or Jack Grealish cement their place on the left-wing in the upcoming campaign.

With no player guaranteed a starting berth, Savinho's addition will only increase the healthy competition in the side.

But so far, the early signs suggest that Pep Guardiola could have a wing pairing on his hands which epitomises fearlessness, skill and the ability to create moments of magic.

As Manchester City new-boy Savinho took to his Instagram to celebrate winning the FA Community Shield against Manchester United, Bobb simply commented: "Wow."

Interesting to see whether Pep Guardiola starts Bobb and Savinho against Chelsea Pep Guardiola has a dilemma on his hands ahead of Manchester City's opening game of the 2024/2025 Premier League season against Chelsea.

Considering both Doku and Savinho played extremely well in tandem with Bobb, it will be interesting to discover the wing pairing the PS378,846-a-week manager opts for.

It seems likely that the Oslo-born attacker will start after his terrific showing against Erik ten Hag's side.

But considering both Doku and Savinho displayed their class against Manchester United, it seems likely that Guardiola will have to choose between either.

Regardless of the decision Pep Guardiola takes, he will have an excellent pair of wingers on the pitch.
