After their relatively straightforward wins against Chelsea and Ipswich Town, Manchester City will be hoping for a similar game against West Ham United.
However, Pep Guardiola will be aware of the quality that Julen Lopetegui has at his disposal - especially playing in front of their own supporters at the London Stadium.
Manchester City have the chance to remind their Premier League title rivals once again that they mean to start the season strongly.
A common theme about Guardiola's City during his tenure has been that they kick into gear during the business end of the season but perhaps this time around, they would like to make matters easier for themselves.
Furthermore, Arsenal, in particular can capitalise on any of their early-season slip ups.
As a result, Pep Guardiola will be approaching his side's trip to East London with utmost seriousness.
Guardiola drops Phil Foden update ahead of Man City vs West Ham So far, City's dominant performances have shown that it would be wise to back them to get the three points against West Ham.
But the Hammers have players of the ilk of Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen who can and will be itching to turn the game in the hosts' favour.
As a result, the contest promises to be an intriguing one.
In Pep Guardiola's latest press conference, he was first quizzed about the availability of some of his players.
Guardiola revealed that Phil Foden will not be ready to face the Irons - with journalist Joe Bray revealing that he was "ill" ahead of the previous outing against Ipswich Town.
Guardiola said via HaytersTV: "Rodri's much better, [Mateo] Kovacic as well and Phil [Foden] still doesn't feel good, the rest are okay.
"The PS225,000-a-week man is now set to miss his third league game of the 2024/2025 season.
Gary Lineker described Foden as "remarkable" as the Sky Blues will miss him this campaign.
Shame for Phil Foden that his season has begun like this Off the back of only recently being crowned the PFA Players' Player of the Year award winner, Foden would have been itching to start the season in blockbuster fashion.
Especially after coming on as a second-half substitute for Savinho, the 24-year-old would have got the minutes in his legs to potentially start against Ipswich.
However, Foden has been unable to do so due to illness and perhaps being yet to recover.
But the Englishman would not be overly worried, considering this is part and parcel of a player's career.
Instead, Foden will be hoping to recover as fast as possible to return to the fold for City.
The good news for Pep Guardiola is that Rodri feels much better and Kovacic is in contention to start.
