Tim Sherwood has said that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has the quality to play for Manchester City.

Speaking to the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, the outspoken pundit made this claim about the PS47 million (GOAL) man.

Despite Bruno Fernandes being in quite poor touch this season, Tim Sherwood still believes he could play for Manchester City.

Tim Sherwood says Bruno Fernandes is good enough to play for Manchester City Branded as a player with 'amazing endurance' by Manchester United's official website, the 29-year-old is considered as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

However, after redeeming himself last season, the Portuguese international has once again had a sharp dip in form this campaign.

But even so, Tim Sherwood believes Bruno Fernandes is good enough to play for Manchester City.

"But he will [have the right attitude] if he was with Pep Guardiola. He hasn't got the attitude because he's with [Erik] ten Hag", he said.

Bruno Fernandes would need a helping hand from Pep Guardiola Even if Tim Sherwood is referring to the Carabao Cup winner at his best at Manchester United, such a midfielder would fail to work under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

The Sky Blues already have a high-risk creator in Kevin De Bruyne, except for the fact that he has arguably the best final ball out of any player in his generation.

In addition, De Bruyne's risks in possession are worth ceding control because his execution of said risk are elite.

Bruno Fernandes would have to mould his game in a similar manner to be able to play for Manchester City.

While Pep Guardiola would perhaps be able to help the former Sporting CP attacker do so, his current version would simply not cut the mustard at the Etihad Stadium.
