Pep Guardiola and Manchester City found a 95th minute winner to see off Wolves as the Catalan claimed his team have begun emulating the habits of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool
John Stones ' header in the 95th minute saw them snatch all three points from the Premier League strugglers. City have rarely relied upon late goals to win games, often controlling them from an early stage, but their win at Molineux showed their ability to rally late on in games.
Liverpool became renowned for playing until the final moments when they had Klopp at the helm. Guardiola watched on as the Reds often landed three points late in the day - seeing them do so numerous times during their epic title battles.
Whilst it shows a new side to the champions Guardiola was more than happy with the late victory, admitting that he had no issues with Bernardo Silva's position in front of the goalkeeper, which meant VAR had to intervene before the referee stuck by his decision to award the goal.
City enjoyed 78% possession against Wolves, who had taken an early lead and were determined to hang on for at least a point. Guardiola pointed to the difficulties that come with breaking down a low block defence but was impressed that his side stuck to their guns.
"We have been in that position, when you lose at the end. But this is the game," he said. "We played the way we want to play and it is a joy to be here, to score in the last 50 seconds and go top of the league."

"I thought it had been chalked off. I tried to speak to the ref but he had a lot of people around him. For me it is the right call. Obviously I am going to be biased but I thought it should stand."
