Richard Keys is amazed Michael Oliver is set to officiate Manchester City's next Premier League game after his debacle as VAR in the West Ham win over Manchester United.
After a VAR check, the Hammers were awarded a contentious penalty in the final minutes of the Premier League game against the Red Devils on Sunday (27 October).
Referee David Coote initially waved off a challenge by Matthijs de Ligt on Danny Ings inside the box, but Oliver asked him to have another look, which led to the Irons having a chance from the spot and Jarrod Bowen slotted in the back of the net in the 2-1 victory.
Keys has expressed his shock on X [29 October] at Oliver being named the referee for Manchester City's trip to Bournemouth next weekend, as confirmed by the Premier League's official website.
"So after indulging himself & making a fool of a colleague by demanding he make one of the most ludicrous penalty awards of all time - a decision that cost Man Utd - Michael Oliver is rewarded with City's match at Bournemouth this w/e. Brilliant," Keys posted.

Casemiro brought parity to the game with his goal minutes after, but Bowen was calm from six yards out and beat Andre Onana.
After the defeat, Ten Hag was sacked as Manchester United's head coach.
This shows that a referee's mistake can have long-standing effects not just on the pitch but off it as well, and considering the situation the Irons are in at the moment, a substantial error could lead to Lopetegui being on the receiving end of similar treatment.
