Liverpool went top of the Premier League on Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 win over Brighton
Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United was followed up by Manchester City's 2-1 loss at Bournemouth and with Slot's team beating Brighton at home at the same time on Saturday, the Reds now stand two points clear at the top of the pile ahead of this weekend's fixtures.
The league leaders host Aston Villa on Saturday night, which kicks off at 8pm, after City have been entertained at Brighton, while Mikel Arteta's men travel to an improving Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
"The manner in which Liverpool clawed the game back and won [against Brighton], then when you look over your shoulder and see the other two giants lose, it's even more satisfying," Johnson told 10bet.
"So that'll probably feel like a six-pointer. In terms of the confidence, Liverpool know that Man City are beatable and that Arsenal are beatable. Liverpool are the most consistent team at the moment and hence why they're top.
"I think that this [last] weekend was huge in the swing. No one would be in the changing room thinking: 'Blimey! I wouldn't expect them to lose, now we're going to win the title.'
Johnson added: "Liverpool won't be getting carried away. They will set their targets at the start of the season, they'll want to win everything, but they will be thinking that the minimum is top four, and fight for the title.
"The players won't be jumping around the dressing room this morning thinking they're going to win the league, but deep down they will know they've got a chance."
