Report: Manchester United planning 11-man clearout this summer, including eight-goal star
Source:Unitedinfocus

Manchester United are planning a summer clear-out as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to overhaul the squad for Erik ten Hag.

This summer, Manchester United were always tipped to need to sell in order to then buy and with that in mind, it seems there could be a serious clearout.

With a squad full of players who really aren't good enough to help Erik ten Hag reach the next level, there's a lot of work for those in charge of United's sporting operations to do.

Now, a report has emerged that points toward Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos having as many as 11 players up for sale this summer.

Some of them are fairly surprising, here's everything we know right now...

MORE UNITED STORIES

This includes first-team regulars such as Christian Eriksen, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof.

This list is added to by the out-of-contract Anthony Martial and current on-loan players like Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, Facundo Pellistri and Brandon Williams.

This list includes multiple that we also tipped for the exit in our seven players that Dan Ashworth could look to axe.

Some shock inclusions such as Scott McTominay While the majority of this list is players who absolutely should be on the departure list, there are also some questionable names who could still do a job for United.

McTominay is one, with the goalscoring midfielder among United's top scorers this campaign (eight goals), beaten only by Rasmus Hojlund.

So selling a homegrown player, who clearly had such an impressive effect on Ten Hag's team this season doesn't make sense. United are unlikely to actively pursue his exit, but likely would listen to offers.

For FFP worries, he's ideal to sell given his fee would be pure profit. Ultimately, if Sir Jim does plan to sell him, we are inclined to trust him based on the decisions he has made to date.
