The Denmark striker, 21, comes in for criticism for his lack of goals but only top scorer Erling Haaland has a better conversion rate in the competition
Red Devils fans will scoff; the Dane's come in for big criticism for a scratchy first season at Old Trafford following his PS72m summer move from Italian side Atalanta. He's struggled to impose himself on opposition defences and took 15 games just to get his first league strike of the season against Aston Villa on Boxing Day. Admittedly, that led to a prolific run of form where Hojlund netted seven goals in just six Premier League matches.
But any hope that would open floodgates for the second half of the campaign soon subsided: the 21 year-old's managed just one since and that was against relegated Sheffield United who have leaked an embarrassing 101 goals in their season from hell. However, once you dig a little deeper, Hojlund, who's had some injuries to deal with, could argue he's actually faring OK.
But the statistic illustrates how, when he does get an opportunity, Hojlund is relatively deadly. He just needs more of them. Only Arsenal 's Kai Havertz (12 goals at 20 percent) can boast a record of 20 percent or more but many of the other top attackers fall behind the United forward's efficiency. Liverpool 's Mo Salah (18 goals) and Chelsea 's Nicolas Jackson (14 goals) both come in at 19 percent while, for his 20 goals this term, Aston Villa's England hotshot Ollie Watkins rates at 18 percent.

Hojlund has, for large parts, been feeding off scraps. Gary Neville, for one, has been critical of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho's poor service from wide areas. Hojlund will be hoping to get another chance to spearhead United's attack in 2024-25 - and that, whatever happens to ten Hag, co-owner Sir James Ratcliffe's recruitment sees more spark and dynamism added to those attacking around him.
