National manager says “it’s extremely difficult’ for his players at Manchester United – Explains why
Source:Sportwitness

Manchester United's past few weeks haven't been the best they've enjoyed this season and their plan of being in the Champions League for the coming campaign has turned into a hope that they'll be in European competition at all.

Injuries and form have been the issues, with Erik ten Hag seemingly unable to get his plans across to the players he has available from one week to the next.

With international competitions on the horizon, the impact of a bad Manchester United season can be felt on a wider basis. Casemiro will be very disappointed to have missed out on the Brazil squad for the Copa America, and closer to home there's players who will want to be in top shape and form for the Euros.

Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen are set to be in Denmark's squad and both will need to do well if the country is to achieve their goals. Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand has been asked about the struggles the pair have been going through at club level. In quotes relayed by Ekstra Bladet, he makes clear he feels that's a Manchester United-specific problem and not related to his players.

"I'm not that worried. I am very happy that Christian has been playing a few minutes lately. It is extremely difficult to 'shine' in a team that struggles to make the connection work.

"We know in this world that things can quickly go either way. I am happy happy that they are both in a good condition. So in that way I'm not too worried about those two."

For the Danish duo, a summer where they can forget about Manchester United for a bit may be beneficial.
