“Close to being perfect club” – Thomas Frank quizzed on Brentford future, makes his stance clear after ‘flattering’ links

Thomas Frank has told Denmark's Bold that he's happy to continue at Brentford amid claims of interest from Manchester United.

The Bees have won 10 of their 37 league games this season and are currently in 16th spot, a point behind 15th placed Everton.

Earlier today, the English press had reported the Brentford manager is in contention for the Manchester United job, if Erik ten Hag were to be shown the exit door at Old Trafford.

After this huge claim, Bold decided to get in touch with the Dane for a response, and he made it clear that he's delighted to be at Brentford.

"I'm really happy where I am. It's close to being the perfect club to be at. I can see myself being here for many years to come. I'm close to the owner, to the sporting director. Everyone around the club. Brentford is a club where I really feel comfortable," he said.

Frank was vital in guiding the Bees to the Premier League in 2021 and helping them finish ninth last season. His current deal at Brentford lasts until 2027 and Bold asked the manager what it means for him to be linked to top clubs. "Immediately, I think it's flattering and a recognition of what I do. And I'm glad that others recognise the work we do at Brentford. That said, it's not a one-man show about what's going on at Brentford," Frank explained.

Prior to the Manchester United links, Frank was linked with a move to Liverpool. They are now set to appoint Feyenoord boss Arne Slot as Jurgen Klopp's successor.

That hasn't stopped Bold from directly asking Frank if there were any discussions with the Reds.
