Manchester United's players produced an outstanding performance to see off Newcastle and sign off at Old Trafford with a win.

This team needed a lift, and Erik ten Hag's side secured a much-needed victory for the club's final Premier League home game of the 2023/24 season.

Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, and Rasmus Hojlund all scored the goals in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle.

It was even more impressive considering Jonny Evans and Casemiro started again at centre-back.

May made further reference to Manchester United's improvement coinciding with Fernandes' return to action.

He said: "You can see how important Bruno is as well. When he plays, this team ticks. When he doesn't play, they don't tick. There's a massive gap. He's been brilliant."
