Jeremie Frimpong is edging closer to a move away from Bayer Leverkusen this summer after attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid, according to reports in Germany.

The Dutch full-back has been an integral part of Xabi Alonso's title-winning Bayer Leverkusen side this campaign, contributing 14 goals and 12 assists across all competitions at the BayArena.

Manchester City, who are on the cusp of winning a fourth successive Premier League title on Sunday, and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also in the race for the highly-rated 23-year-old defender.

German outlet Bild has claimed that Frimpong is leaning towards an exit as things stand, with the Dutch international eager to pursue a new chapter away from Bayer Leverkusen after such a historic season.

Frimpong could be available for an attractive fee in the transfer market, as the defender's current contract has a PS34million exit clause attached to it.

Alonso, who decided to stay at Leverkusen despite significant interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich ahead of the summer, will no doubt be keen to keep Frimpong within his ranks after winning the Bundesliga and reaching both the Europa League and German Cup final.

Astonishingly, Leverkusen remain unbeaten across all competitions with just three matches to go and are on track to end the season with three trophies.

Fellow Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, 28, is also considering his future at the club ahead of the summer.

The champions have yet to extend Tah's contract, which expires in 2025, and could be tempted to cash in on the German now rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year.

Tah, Leverkusen's longest-serving player, is believed to have attracted interest from Bayern Munich as well as several top clubs in England.

The centre-back has been a stalwart for Alonso's side this campaign, chalking up 45 appearances across all competitions and scoring six goals from defence.
