Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he will not stay at Bayern Munich beyond the end of the current season.

Back in February Tuchel announced that he would leave the Bundesliga giants at the end of what has been a disappointing campaign.

For the first time in 11 seasons Bayern have not been crowned champions of Germany, and will finish the season trophyless after being eliminated from both the DFB Pokal and the Champions League.

Earlier this week reports claimed that Bayern could perform a dramatic U-turn and keep Tuchel after failing to find a replacement.

Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Zinedine Zidane have all turned down the chance to join the club, but now Tuchel has rejected the chance to stay.

"This is my last press conference at Sabener Strasse," the 50-year-old told reporters on Friday.

"There were talks, but we didn't reach an agreement, so the decision of February still stands."

Senior members of the Bayern dressing room had asked the club to keep Tuchel.
