The representatives of Bayern Munich's Thomas Tuchel have been in contact with Man United over the manager's role at the Premier League club amid the uncertainty over Erik ten Hag's job.
The Dutch coach is under severe pressure at Old Trafford and many feel that there is no way back for the former Ajax boss after recent performances such as the 4-0 defeat away at Crystal Palace.
The current campaign has been a disaster for the Red Devils and the big worry for Sir Jim Ratcliffe should be the fact that Ten Hag has not been able to turn the Red Devils' form around or make any improvements.
It makes it harder to keep the Dutch coach when top coaches such as Tuchel are available as the German is a Champions League winner and is a master tactician. The Bayern boss is also a feisty character and would be strong enough to whip the current United squad into shape.

It was confirmed on Friday that the German coach will not be continuing at Bayern Munich despite the Bundesliga giants embarrassingly trying to get him to stay having become lost in their search for a new coach.
The 50-year-old would be a top choice for Man United as he ticks many of the boxes needed to take the Manchester club back to the top of the English game.
