Manchester United are preparing for their final Premier League fixture of the season against Brighton.

Erik ten Hag's side will make the trip to the south coast on Sunday afternoon, seeking a win to keep their hopes of European football alive.

Positive news has emerged for the Red Devils ahead of this clash, with the club confirming Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial have returned to team training.

The trio were spotted being put through their paces on Friday, with Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford also present after being introduced as substitutes in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United earlier this week.

It therefore means changes are likely to be seen in defence, with Casemiro being relieved of his temporary centre-back role and Jonny Evans dropping to the bench. In will come Varane and Martinez, who will be joined by Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the full-back roles.

Sofyan Amrabat and Kobbie Mainoo can hold down their defensive midfield positions after featuring in the midweek win, keeping Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen out of the starting eleven.

There was concern regarding whether Bruno Fernandes would be fit for this weekend after being withdrawn late on in the match, though Ten Hag has confirmed the Portuguese star is set to be involved. "Bruno didn't miss so much and he's fit," said the United boss. "I would say that is one of my least concerns, if he can keep going. He's fresh and he's in very good form but the others you mentioned, it's important [to get game time]. They missed some games. Rashford, since Coventry, but, of course, Licha Martinez missed, I would say, almost the whole season. So every minute that he can get, we have to give him."

Further forward, Alejandro Garnacho is likely to play once again and Amad is deserving of another start after impressing at Old Trafford. Anthony Martial is back in first team training after his long-term absence, though may only earn minutes through a cameo appearance. Rasmus Hojlund comes back into the mix to lead the line, meanwhile Rashford can be deployed as an impact substitute.

Manchester United predicted XI to face Brighton: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Wan-Bissaka; Amrabat, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Amad; Hojlund.
