Marcus Rashford could benefit from a change in manager, according to ex-Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen.
The England forward is coming to the end of a disappointing season where he's scored just eight goals in all competitions. Meanwhile, the Premier League giants look likely to miss out on European football next season.
Coming off a 30-goal season last year, many expected the 26-year-old to continue to push on under Erik ten Hag as United attempted to become a legitimate title contender. But instead it's been the complete opposite.
Amid his struggling campaign, Rashford has routinely been linked with a move away from Old Trafford. Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were reported to be interested in his services.
Manchester Evening News understands United will listen to offers for all players this summer except Andre Onana, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund. For Rashford, his mammoth PS350,000-a-week deal that runs out in 2028 could prove to be a major barrier in any potential move.
While Rashford stated his loyalty to his boyhood club in a letter penned to the Players' Tribune earlier this year, Meulensteen, who spent six years at the club as a first-team coach under Sir Alex Ferguson, suggested a lack of quality around the Manchester native has contributed to his struggles.

Kitbag "It's difficult to see Marcus Rashford perform as he is this season as last season he was excellent and also was a big part of England's World Cup campaign," the Dutchman told the MEN. "Rashford burst on the scene so well and has performed really well for Manchester United. There has been a lot of pressure on him and one can argue he hasn't had the quality of players around him to benefit his game."
The 60-year-old previously admitted that Ten Hag is not the right man to lead United as he claimed Rashford would benefit from a change in manager. "He is a Manchester lad and it would be a shame if he leaves as I believes he understands what it means to player for Manchester United. But it's not just Rashford who isn't playing to their full potential. Maybe a change of coach can help him."
Meulensteen then suggested a departure from United could "benefit his game" with Rashford turning 27 years old in October. "Maybe a move could also benefit his game as he has been at Manchester United since the youth team, he has come through the academy and it's a proud academy at Manchester United," he added.
