Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo is among those to respond to Chelsea star Cole Palmer being named as the Premier League's Young Player of the Season.

The 22-year-old has been one of the standout players in the league in 2023/24 since moving to Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer. He is second on the goalscoring charts having netted 22 times in the league this season.

It was in the comments where Mainoo was among those to respond. The Man United youngster replied with a praising hands emoji.

Mainoo himself has had a breakthrough season at Old Trafford. The midfielder has become a key part of Erik ten Hag's team, playing 23 times in the Premier League, he also made his full England debut back in March in the friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

Palmer made his international debut in the November European qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia. Both will be looking to impress in the final game of the season to try and seal a spot in Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's European Championships.

Mainoo wasn't the only player to send a message to Palmer after his award. Chelsea teammate Levi Colwill wrote: "Go on the boy,", and Trevoh Chalobah wrote: "This bag is very heavy now."

Palmer is also nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year. He is up against Phil Foden of Man City, Erling Haaland of Man City, Alexander Isak of Newcastle, Martin Odegaard of Arsenal, Declan Rice of Arsenal, Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.
