Erling Haaland not eyeing the double in the wake of Manchester City's record fourth successive Premier League title with the Norwegian enjoying the glory for now

Erling Haaland has put thoughts of the double on hold while he celebrates Manchester City's latest Premier League title triumph.

Haaland plundered 25 goals in the league this season to win the Golden Boot, awarded to the Premier League's top scorer, for the second season running.

City can make it a double by beating local rivals Manchester United on Saturday to win the FA Cup, in a repeat of last season's final, which Pep Guardiola's side won 2-1. But Haaland said he is not thinking about a league and cup double until he returns to training with the rest of the City squad tomorrow, to start their FA Cup build-up.

"We'll try to go for the double but, right now, I don't focus on that," said Haaland. "I focus on what we've just achieved and now it's about enjoying that. In a couple of days, let's start focusing on the FA Cup."

"It was a race all the way until the end. All credit to the other teams, they made it really difficult for us, but yet again City and the whole club showed how to do it.

"It's truly incredible, this club is incredible. Not everyone understands how hard it is to win one, but for this club to win four in a row is incredible. To be part of it is unreal and I'm so proud.

No team in English history has ever won successive doubles, giving Guardiola and his players more history to motivate them come the final this weekend. United will be firm underdogs having lost both games against their neighbours this term, conceding three on both occasions.
