When it comes to assists, one man was way out on top for United this term. Fernandes contributed eight in total, double that of his closest challenger. The skipper continues to be a creative spark for the Reds and will lead the side out at Wembley in Saturday's Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Alejandro Garnacho was next best with four, followed by full-back Diogo Dalot, who registered three.

In terms of appearances, goalkeeper Andre Onana was an ever-present, playing throughout all 38 games in his first term as a Red.

As for outfield players, Dalot leads the way with 35 starts, and a substitute appearance as well, during the 1-0 win at Burnley in September. He was left on the bench for the opening day against Wolves and the only other league match he did not play in was because of suspension. Due to the harsh red card he received at Liverpool, he had to sit out the home victory over West Ham United.

Garnacho also did not play in only two matches - when he was an unused substitute against Nottingham Forest in August and the aforementioned Burnley victory.
