Manchester United remain heavily linked with Jarrad Branthwaite, who is ready to agree a move to Old Trafford this summer, as per reports.
After seeing their initial move turned down, the Red Devils have not given up on signing the central defender from Everton.
According to renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Branthwaite is eager to secure a move to Man Utd.
The Italian journalist claims that the 21-year-old is not even worried about United's exclusion from the European Cup.
Romano told GMS:
"I would keep his name in the list of Manchester United, waiting to see what they decided to do - because the player is keen on the move to Manchester United. Personal terms are not an issue at all."
"So Manchester United know the player is open to joining them, even without Champions League football, but it depends on the clubs."
Personal terms may not be an issue but agreeing a fee with the Toffees has been a concern for the 20-time English champions, who do not want to pay over the odds.
Reports have indicated that the Goodison Park outfit are asking for a mammoth amount in the region of PS90million.
Branthwaite was top class in the Premier League last term. However, it will be fair to say that the valuation of PS90million is not justified for a defender who has only played one full season in the top flight of English football.
At the above price, he would become the most expensive center back in the history of football.
Have your say - How much should Man Utd pay to sign Jarrad Branthwaite from the Merseysiders?
