Manchester United are eyeing Manuel Ugarte to strengthen their midfield this summer. However, reports indicate that PSG turned down their offer, considering it too low for the Uruguayan player.
Ugarte has also been linked to Serie A clubs such as AC Milan and Juventus. However, a move to Old Trafford could be gaining ground as the 23-year-old is reportedly open to giving up playing in a major tournament.
According to transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and PSG have recently reconnected about Ugarte.
While several clubs are interested in the midfielder, PSG is willing to sell him this summer, and he's expected to leave. Ugarte is open to joining United even if they aren't playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, though no formal bid has been made yet.

Another recent report gave good news to the English side as Diario AS revealed that Atletico Madrid's management is unaware that manager Diego Simeone has contacted Ugarte to convince him to play for Atletico.
The Spanish club is interested in the PSG midfielder but nothing more. As a result, the Premier League side could be seen as the frontrunner for the player.
