Man Utd are still in the race to sign Leny Yoro and the latest reports indicate that the Red Devils have even called the player.

As per today's version of AS (press image provided below), Madrid have told Lille to accept a figure of 35-40 million euros for the teenager, or risk losing him for free next summer.

Transfer: From Spain - Man Utd are favorites, will 'most likely' sign PS38million midfielder

However, the Ligue 1 club are holding out for a fee of 70 million euros (PS59million) knowing there are other big clubs interested in signing the player.

Paris Saint-Germain have already submitted an offer worth PS51million for the defender.

On the other hand, Man Utd and Liverpool have made phone calls to sign Leny Yoro. However, the teenager has been rejecting the calls.

His preference is to move to the Bernabeu, but Real Madrid do have an alternative plan if they are unable to sign him.

AS state the European champions have targeted the signing of Italian international, Riccardo Calafiori, who has been impressive at the Euros.

The Bologna center back set up the winning goal in the last group game against Croatia and has also been defensively solid.

The Spanish source claim the Rossoblu want a fee of 40 million euros and 40 percent of the price will go to his former club, FC Basel.

Madrid can afford to pay 40 million euros for Calafiori, and that is the maximum amount they are willing to offer for Yoro.
