Marseille enter the race for Manchester United star Mason Greenwood According to an ESPN report, The Athletic claims that Olympique de Marseille are the latest club interested in Man United forward Mason Greenwood.

The 22-year-old's future at Old Trafford is all but over, with both parties looking to come up with ways of finding an exit. Greenwood spent the season gone by on loan at Getafe and was their player of the campaign.

Getafe remain interested in buying him permanently but face tough competition from bigger clubs and are less likely to meet United's current PS40m demand for Greenwood.

Juventus were interested in Greenwood up until recently, with Lazio having already made an offer in the region of PS30 million for him. Napoli are also in the mix.

The 1992/93 Champions League winners, under new coach Roberto de Zerbi, are the latest club willing to test United's resolve over Greenwood, whose PS50k-a-week contract runs out at the end of the 2024/25 season.

They know from last year that reintegrating back him into the first team is not an option, and with 12 months on his contract, this is their last transfer window to sell him on for pure profit, given he's an academy graduate.

Expect United to not stick to their PS40m price tag, but an amount in the region could still be generated given the number of clubs taking interest in him.
