Mauricio Pochettino sends cryptic message after Man United links and Erik ten Hag announcement

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has sent a message on social media after being linked with the Manchester United job this summer.

The Argentine left Chelsea by mutual consent at the end of last season, despite leading the club to a European finish, His exit from Stamford Bridge came at the same time as uncertainty surrounded the future of United boss Erik ten Hag.

Following their arrival at United at the end of last year, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos conducted a full review of the club, including Ten Hag's position. It was however decided that the club would stick with the club triggering a one-year extension option in the Dutchman's contract.

Amid the uncertainty over his future, Pochettino was one name who was mentioned as a potential replacement. It's not the first time he's been linked with a move to Old Trafford with Pochettino heavily linked when United were looking for a successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, although the club eventually decided to opt for Ralf Rangnick as an interim appointment.

Pochettino is currently out of work and will now be on the lookout for his latest opportunity. Amid that wait, he has sent a cryptic message on his official Instagram account.

The manager has posted a picture of blue skies, flowers and trees on his Instagram story. But the most interesting part are the emojis he's put with it.

He has been linked with the England job, with the future of Gareth Southgate following Euro 2024 up in the air. It is reported by The Sun that he is now free to take a new job after agreeing a pay-off with Chelsea.
