Source:Football -

Fulham have enquired about the availability of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay as they look to bolster their midfield. According to a report from HITC, Fulham are looking to reinforce their midfield this summer and they are re-igniting their interest in the services of Manchester United academy graduate Scott McTominay. The Cottagers have enquired about his availability as they look to prepare for life without Joao Palhinha.

The Portuguese international's move to Bayern Munich might have collapsed last time out. But, it seems it is already a done deal as the German giants have agreed terms with Fulham for his transfer. They will be forking out around PS50 million to have him in their squad.

Fulham want McTominay to replace Palhinha With Palhinha's departure almost certain, the Cottagers are looking for an ideal replacement. They have a long-standing interest in Scott McTominay and feel he could help them cope with the Portuguese midfielder's absence. As a result, they have knocked on Manchester United's door to know more about a potential transfer of their academy graduate.

McTominay has been a part of the United first team since 2017 and he has played his part in the success they have had over the years. While he wasn't really an important part of Erik ten Hag's plans at the start of last season, the 27-year-old worked his way into the mix.

He was involved in 43 matches and managed to contribute towards 13 goals (10 goals, 3 assists). McTominay played in a variety of roles and he surely helped Ten Hag out on quite a few occasions.

United ready to sell McTominay Despite having done so well last time out, United seem prepared to sanction his departure as they look to re-shape their midfield. They are also willing to offload Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.

With his contract running out in 12 months, it does seem to be a logical decision from the Red Devils. They prefer raising funds from his sale than letting him leave for free next summer.

While United are ready to sell and Fulham have enquired about him, McTominay has always been reluctant to leave Old Trafford. As a result, Marco Silva's team will have to convince him to part ways with his childhood club.
