Southampton have had another busy seven days in the transfer window as they look to get their squad ready for a top flight return.
Russell Martin has already seen four players sign for Southampton this summer but is in no mood to stop there.
Veteran duo Adam Lallana and Charlie Taylor have both been brought in for free following the expiration of their respective contracts, whilst Taylor Harwood-Bellis' permanent arrival was confirmed this week.
Harwood-Bellis has been joined by another young defender, with Southampton announcing the PS3 million purchase of 21-year-old Ronnie Edwards and Swansea City central defender Nathan Woods is also expected to arrive for a similar fee shortly.
Here are all the latest Southampton transfer updates from the past seven days.
Martin is keen to set up a reunion with the player he managed at MK Dons but Celtic are said to be holding out for closer to PS30 million to sanction a sale.
MORE SOUTHAMPTON STORIES
There are indications that the player himself could want the move, with his relationship with Martin said to be a key factor.
Aside from O'Riley, the Saints have also been credited with interest in an ambitious move for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay.
Fulham are believed to be the club showing the strongest interest in the Scotland International who could be sold to raise funds, but with United valuing the player at PS40 million last summer Southampton would be looking to negotiate a much lower fee.
The first of these is Manchester City's Liam Delap, who is thought to be available for a fee of around PS10 million and Southampton "keen to win the race" for the centre-forward's signature.
The club also continue to be linked with a move for Ben Brereton Diaz - the Villarreal striker who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield United.
The Saints have been boosted in their pursuit, as the Chile international is said to want a Premier League return this summer.
The other two strikers are players at very different stages of their careers in 33-year-old Espanyol striker Martin Braithwaite and 18-year-old Union Santa Fe attacker Jeronimo Domina.
Braithwaite's PS500k release clause makes him an attractive option, whilst Domina is a real talent who could be integrated immediately into the first team despite his youth.
That is because Kyle Walker-Peters continues to be linked with a move away as he enters the final year of his deal and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the 27-year-old has given West Ham United the green light over a move.
The St Mary's club are preparing for life without Walker-Peters and have had a PS5 million bid for Max Aarons rejected by Bournemouth but are expected to return with a bigger offer.
Two players who will not be making the move to Southampton are Joe Rodon and Bobby De Cordova-Reid.
Both players were linked as potential summer arrivals, but Rodon has now signed for Leeds United as part of a deal that saw Archie Gray go the other way to Tottenham Hotspur and De Cordova-Reid is set to sign for Leicester City on a free.
