How Leny Yoro compares to William Saliba will leave Man Utd very excited, Ineos have struck gold
Source:Manchester United

Manchester United are set to welcome Leny Yoro to the club as the second signing of the summer, and it's a very exciting move.

Leny Yoro hasn't even turned 19, and yet he's already found himself part of a transfer battle between the world's two biggest clubs.

Manchester United and Real Madrid both wanted Yoro, but it's United who will be printing his name on shirts next season.

For United, it's the signing of the summer, and not only addresses a serious area of priority but also sends a serious statement of intent to the footballing world.

Yoro is a generational talent, and while he's far from the finished article, how he compares with Arsenal's William Saliba should leave United very confident.

MORE UNITED STORIESFrom this table, it's clear to see that despite being just 18, Yoro is already close to the impact defensively of Saliba.

This in itself is a sensational thing and proves exactly why Real Madrid viewed Yoro as generational.

We're under no illusion that Yoro will take time to adapt, being so young it's only natural.

But by signing him, it means United have sorted the centre-back spot for years to come, alongside a hopefully fully fit Lisandro Martinez.

When Arsenal signed Saliba, he then needed a couple of seasons before being ready for Premier League football.

Yoro right now is at a higher level than Saliba was, and he'll without a doubt be starting for United this coming season.

Manchester United have struck gold with Yoro Yoro isn't just any centre-back prospect, but what he's already done at Lille at such a young age is truly remarkable.

Yoro's physical dominance in Ligue 1 bodes well for his move to the Premier League.

Yoro is a one-v-one duel-winning monster and even the best attackers such as Kylian Mbappe, have struggled to get by him.

This is something we can expect to continue improving as well which will be scary for every other forward in the league.

He is quick and can also hold his own on the ball, despite it not being a strength to the levels of Martinez.

Yoro however can pass out from the back, although it's something which can develop as he grows older.

Most importantly of all, Yoro raises the athleticism levels in defence, with the department comprising Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans, it was a much-needed trait in any centre-back.

This is a game-changing signing and Ineos deserve to be commended to the highest degree for going out and getting it done.
