Fenerbahce are eyeing Everton forward Beto

Everton striker Beto is in the sights of Bologna as a potential replacement for Joshua Zirkzee, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
Reporting on Sky Sports' Transfer Centre (17 July), Sheth said that the Serie A side, who will play in next season's Champions League, are exploring the conditions of a potential deal this summer.
Having sold Zirkzee to Manchester United for PS36.5million [Sky Sports, 15 July], Bologna are keen on Beto, who only arrived at Goodison Park himself for PS28.5million from Udinese in August 2023.
Beto, who netted just five goals in 37 appearances across all competitions in his first season with the Blues, has three years remaining on his current contract at Goodison Park.
Everton should be cautious over potential Beto transfer While just three goals in 30 Premier League appearances certainly doesn't scream 'prolific' on Beto's behalf, the striker is one whom the Toffees would be wise to keep hold of this summer.
Only 10 of those 30 appearances were starts for the Blues, with Beto often being used as an impact substitute for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, netting late goals against Newcastle United and Bournemouth.
Beto netted just three Premier League goals in his first season at Goodison Park Even if Bologna's offer gives the Blues a profit on the PS28.5million fee paid to Udinese 11 months ago, they may be wise to reject it given Beto could be the Sean Dyche's first-choice number nine next season.
That's because clouds remain over the future of Calvert-Lewin going forward, with the striker entering the final 12 months of his current contract and being yet to sign a new deal [TEAMtalk, 10 July].
