Manchester United have some of the finest young talent in England at the moment.
The likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho look like superstars in the making, while their new addition of Leny Yoro appears to be very exciting.
Before Yoro signed for Manchester United, he was a firm target for Liverpool.
Speaking to Anfield Index, David Lynch has been discussing Liverpool and the fact they didn't sign Yoro in this window.
The journalist says that Liverpool really do rate Yoro and believe he is a big talent, but they couldn't justify spending big money on the player as they believe he wouldn't start enough games.
Liverpool really rate Leny Yoro Lynch spoke about Yoro and how much Liverpool rate the player.
"They couldn't justify it at those players, but again, they really like the player, they think he's a big talent, they think he's really good. But at United he probably starts a lot of games because their centre-halves aren't very good," Lynch said.
Manchester United's Yoro move is a gamble Liverpool may not have gone in for Yoro, but that doesn't change the fact they feel he is a top talent.
It must be something of a bitter pill to swallow for Liverpool to see such a talented young player joining their biggest rivals.
Unfortunately for Liverpool, the timing just wasn't right to sign a player like Yoro.
Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Jarrell Quansah and Joe Gomez all remain strong centre-back options at Anfield, and it would take a player who is seriously special to break into the first-team at this point.
Yoro may well prove that he is that talented, but, after just one strong season in Ligue 1, it would've been a real gamble for Liverpool to take such an expensive punt on a player who isn't all that proven at the top level.
United are in a position where they needed to roll the dice, and who knows? Perhaps their gamble on Yoro could pay off.
