Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho may have agreed to draw a line under last season's feud but there are still a few unanswered questions.
The main one is whether Manchester United are looking to sell the winger. The club are willing to listen to offers for almost every squad member this summer, with just four players exempt from sales.
It seems unlikely that Sancho will join Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Andre Onana on that list. The more pertinent query is whether United are actively looking to offload the 24-year-old. Earlier this summer, United placed a PS40m valuation on the attacker, before he made amends with Erik ten Hag.
Sancho played his first minutes under the Dutchman in 329 days in Saturday's friendly with Rangers, having previously been banished from the first-team since September due to his fall out with Ten Hag over comments about training levels.
This eventually led to his January loan to Borussia Dortmund, after refusing to apologise for effectively accusing his manager of lying. With Dortmund he reached the Champions League final and ultimately priced himself out of a permanent move back to the German club with his revived performances.
United paid PS73m for Sancho in 2021 and know they will take a loss with a sale, but are unlikely to want to go below their PS40m price tag in light of Premier League spending constraints. Perhaps only a few clubs would be willing to pay that figure.
Reports suggest Paris Saint-Germain might be one of them following the exit of Kylian Mbappe, albeit there is no suggestion of the England international being framed as the man to succeed his French counterpart. Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League are making their presence felt in the European market once more and have shown they are willing to pay above board if it means capturing a big name for their grand marketing enterprise.
A switch to Saudi has been offered to Sancho before, having received interest ahead of their domestic transfer deadline day in September just weeks after he had fallen out with Ten Hag.
And even at this tense stage, Sancho indicated he would be reluctant to move to the Pro League due to his age. Ten months on and this stance is unlikely to have changed, despite the vast wealth such a transfer brings.
Admittedly, the closing of that door limits the potential exit destinations for Sancho, who might end up staying at United. Little is clear about what lies ahead for the player, but perhaps his thoughts on a Saudi move are more straight-forward.
