Rumored Inter Miami target David De Gea is reportedly set to announce which club he will be joining next week a year after leaving Manchester United.
The former Spanish superstar has been a free-agent for a shockingly long time, with De Gea leaving United last season at the end of his contract, with the 33-year-old goalkeeper still not signing for a new team despite his obvious qualities.
Inter Miami have been linked with a move for De Gea in recent months, with the former United and Atletico Madrid star the sort of profile the Herons have been targeting since last year's arrival of Lionel Messi.
And De Gea could soon make a big announcement on his future next week.
The Herons are quite well-stocked between the sticks, with Drake Callender again showing this season why he's one of the best goalkeepers in MLS and a player who could feature for Inter Miami for quite some time.
Indeed, although goalkeeper isn't a problem position for Inter Miami, signing a player of De Gea's reputation and quality might be an opportunity that's too good to turn down for the Herons this summer.

And if Inter Miami are the club to win the race for De Gea, many fans will be pleased with the signing, given how much intent such a deal would show to MLS and rival clubs heading into the final third of the season.
And signing De Gea could all-but confirm Inter Miami's status as the outright favourites to win both titles, with the Spanish goalkeeper a truly outstanding talent and a player who could add a lot of quality to the backline.
It might be an expensive deal, but with silverware on the line, Inter Miami know that such a signing would be huge in the weeks to come, with De Gea bringing world-class quality and expertise to the goalkeeper position.
